Brett Michener

Brett Michener

After spending his first couple of years in a large corporation, he realized that he could not provide the level of care he felt his patients deserved and set out to create a more patient-oriented practice. That decision led Brett to open M&M Physical Therapy in 2004. Here he is able to put patient care first. In addition to a physical therapy license Brett holds a certification in strength and conditioning. Brett has been working with athletes on the rehab side to help them regain function and to improve their performance. Along with leading a successful practice, Brett is also an advanced credentialed clinical instructor, working with students and sharing the latest research and most up-to-date clinical techniques. Brett holds a Master’s in Physical Therapy and a BS in Health Sciences from the University of the Sciences.

Recently, Brett has become a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and certified Junior coach. These certifications allow him to incorporate his two passions, golf and physical therapy. Having spent a career addressing bio-mechanics the marriage to the golf swing was a natural transition. Now that the Golf Performance institute is open Brett spends a percentage of his time teaching golf biomechanics and injury prevention.

The Golf Performance Institute was designed to bring cutting edge technology, golf specific fitness and conditioning, and a bio-mechanical screen and marry those with the movement experts, physical therapists. Our unique education allows us to view the golf swing in a very different manner than other golf professionals. With physical therapy degrees and certification through the Titleist performance Institute and K-vest we can now fill the void between golf professional and our clients.

As the CEO of both companies my roles include providing a vision and mission, Business development, marketing strategy and deployment, to seek out strategic partnerships, and to provide senior leadership and management for our physical therapy and golf companies.

M & M did a great job providing therapy for lower back pain. The Physical Therapist, Dave, was very easy to work with and eager to answer any questions I had about the condition or the treatment. The M&M office is clean and bright and the M & M staff are pleasant and friendly. After completing the treatment, I have been able to resume normal activities and I am pain free. Thank you M & M!
– Rich

I can’t begin to explain how amazing the care is at M&M. Brett, Ruth and Steve value relationships, and are a breath of fresh air in the medical field. During my time with Brett, he showed that treating your injury is just the first step. He focused on building a relationship with me, understanding my life and the stresses that I’m going through, and felt more like meeting with a trusted friend then a doctor’s appointment. I recommend everyone to give M&M Physical Therapy a try if you need an amazing group of physicians that will ensure that you recover quickly, give you personalized advice, and value ethics and customers more than anything else. They truly are the greatest group of physical therapists around! – Tim
